She found me
Jun. 24th, 2006 07:45 pmIf you haven't noticed by now, I'm a rabid Gunnm fan. At every con I go to, I'm ALWAYS on the look-out for Gunnm cosplay. And as I mentioned earlier, I was kind of bummed out that I didn't find any at this past A-kon.
Then this week, that particular Gunnm cosplayer I had been looking for at A-kon surfaces. She's on cosplay.com too, but she's a comet member (only comes by once every 75 years or so). Of course I contacted her that very instant. It turns out she was at A-kon, but not in costume. The good news is that she's as much of a Gunnm nut as me, she's got tons of Alita cosplay in the works. And she's also going to AnimeFest in September, which I'm going to as well. What excellent luck.
As much as I love Gunnm, one detractor always persists when I cosplay it. No one ever recognizes or cosplays it, so my cosplay rarely gets any attention. But now that I've found another Texan diehard Gunnm cosplayer, my prospects just improved. Now that I've got a cosplay partner, it's revitalized my Gunnm cosplay drive. Plus, by the time September rolls around Nahli and Enigmagir should have their costumes ready too. It's gonna rock when we all get together.
