It's raining AGAIN ?!?!?()*^#%()*^!!!

Grawrgh! This rain is starting to get to me! Don’t get me wrong, I like rain, but it’s been raining for weeks and weeks now! (And what the hell is up with all these crickets everywhere?!?!) Agh! It’s shutting down every job I can find. We get a couple dry sunny days in a row, just enough that it looks like things are going to dry out, then another thunderstorm passes through. Our drill rigs are sitting out there in the rain, but we can’t get to them because the jobsites are over-saturated. If we drive on them we’ll tear up the terrain, pollute the stormwater, track mud on the roads, and kill the inky-binky salamanders living five miles downstream. That’s Austin for you. There’s hell to pay if you impact the environment in any way. So we’re just sitting on our butts, waiting. I don’t mind a slow day every once in a while, but a slow month, agh!
I used up all of my rainy-day busy work days ago. I’m barely scrounging up 20 hours of work a week. I’ve been showing up late and leaving early because I don’t have anything to do at the office and no one notices if I’m there anyways, so . . . And the office internet access has been purged of anything remotely entertaining. Mostly I just watch my screensaver of cosplay pics, but even that gets old after awhile. I’m bored and restless, but I can’t leave. Yeck, it’s like Purgatory in here. I’m this close to installing Civ IV on my work pc . . . if I could find the danged disc.
