There's someone in Texas I need to kill . . .

This week has gone by way too damned fast for me to get anything done. But with a bit of luck and working on the costumes at the hotel, they should be . . . wearable. I'll consider this to be their "practice" con; they're not finished, but I'll use this con as a chance to work out the bugs.
So anywho, I had a bunch of things to do today. I finally got around to renewing my truck's registraction (6 months after it expired) and I decided to finally get those personalized license plates that say "GUNNM" to show my fervor as a Gunnm fan. It's something I'd always thought about doing, but was never quite motivated enough to do. So I filled out the form and the lady behind the counter was all, "What's it mean?"
"Uh, it's Japanese."
"What's it mean in Japanese?"
"Uh, gun dream."
" . . . "
And I'm thinking, "What is this, Jo-Ann's? Quit poking your nose in my business! I do weird stuff! Leave me alone!"

Then the computer says that that plate is already taken. Somewhere, out there, there's a Texan who's a bigger Gunnm fan than me.
Well, I'll change that.
