So has she pretty much seen next to nothing? As far as new stuff Gurren Lagann is pretty epic and Eureka 7 is pretty fantastic. For older series I think I will suggest Rose of Versailles and Urusei Yatsura. Also see if she likes any Matsumoto stuff. You could test that with the Daft Punk Interstella 5555. For a mid 90s series I'm going to say Escaflowne. And for earlier this decade I would suggest Haibane Renmei.
