Help decide the argument!

We'd been meaning to buy "Batman Begins" since forever, but only finally got it this weekend. So we watched it and all the extras too. (BTW, I wet myself for the Tumbler.) The director/writer/whoever was talking about the Batman story, how Bruce Wayne loses his parents as a kid and then reappears as Batman when he's full-grown. They mentioned how there are years missing from his story that had never been addressed, which they filled in. But I couldn't help but think, "Hey, that reminds me of that other guy, Jesus Christ!" Think about it, both of their origin stories are very famous (born in a manger/parents shot) and then the character's story jumps to when they're an adult with new powers and a mission. I told this to Star, but she wouldn't concede that there were these basic similarities in the two stories.

So please, people out there, tell me if I'm wrong or if yes, these two hero stories have some similarities.
