Fat Cat
I'm gonna pee my pants! I FINALLY got the legs on the Catbus, and they work! I'm so excited! Even though I've made numerous drawings, a model, and a prototype, I couldn't help but suspect there was some major flaw hidden in there. But it works, so yay!
The only problem is now that I've added the legs to the Catbus, he's officially too big to fit through my front door anymore. Uh oh. How can I get him out? Maybe if I took the railing off my bedroom balcony, I could--no. Hm. Maybe I could rent a storage unit for him to sleep in and where I can work on him. Nah. I dunno, I'll think of something. But yeah, he's certainly getting big. He's maybe 40% done and weighs around 80 lbs already. Oh boy, he's gonna be one fat cat.
So if not too many requests are made of my time this weekend, I'll be reattaching the steering system and mirror box and maybe we'll be ready for a roadtest by Sunday or Monday! Ahh! And if he passes, then it's time for foam and fur! Ahh! He just might be ready in time for A-kon after all! Ahh! I'm excited!
Utena Marathon
JB had a point, I don't often have free time, so what little I do have, I have to make the most of it. So last night I went to her RGU marathon, even though . . . it was girly stuff. Although there wasn't as much shoujo-ai as I'd expected (or yuri as I'd been hoping), and the storyline was simple/predictable at times, I found myself watching episode after episode. I don't like Anthy though, I've decided. She's slow upstairs; dumb as a rose bag of bride hammers.
Besides the anime, we got chow at Kerby's (of course). Then we went back for more Utena. By now it was early morning and our brains were a little foggy and the storyline was growing more risqué, so things got more fun. But shortly before dawn we had to call it quits, or else someone was gonna wind up with bathroom grafitti written on their face in permanent marker.

Date: 2007-04-01 04:37 pm (UTC)And after you see the whole series you should watch the Utena movie. It is normally horribly confusing the first time you see it, but even more so if you're in the middle of watching the series. But it is so pretty! And yeah the last story arc of the series is where most of the shit goes down so to speak. Anyways it is my favorite series ever so I could go on all day, but I'll go ahead and stop now...
